GH Motorcycles G&B Finch Race Team Maxxis British Championship Round 2

Luke Parker and Luke Benstead took part in the 2nd round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Lyng on Sunday, the weather and conditions were much more pleasant compared to the first round with a high of 25 degrees Celsius and blue sky all day. For both our riders this was essentially the closest round in the series, so both riders were looking in putting in strong rides with plenty support from the locals behind them. Qualifying ended with both our riders right behind each other, with Luke Benstead in 26th and Luke Parker in 27th position with less than 1 tenth of a second separating them.

Race 1 had both riders get off with decent starts and well into the points, Luke Benstead was mixing it up just outside the top 10 with some big names before dropping a few places back to 17th by the end of the race. Luke Parker had his strongest ride to date in the Maxxis British motocross championship to cross the line in 19th and score his first points in the series.

Race 2 had Luke Benstead get another good start and initially running as high as 11th, Luke eventually ended the 25min plus 2 lap race in 17th again to end 17th overall for the day. Luke Parker got caught up in some first turn carnage and was left with a lot a hard work to do only managing to catch back up to 21st and just missing out on the points. Luke Parker ended the day 23rd overall.
