GH Motorcycles G&B Finch Team rider Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy has had a little break in his schedule recently, he has been using his short time off from the racing to get his bikes back up to showroom condition to be ready to tackle the next few busy weeks of his race schedule. Tom hasn’t been off the bike entirely, as he has still been keeping himself busy training and trying to improve with the RMJ academy. His most recent day training was on Wednesday at Fatcat Motoparc with RMJ academy riding along side Adam Sterry who is currently leading the EMX250 (European Motocross Championship).

Tom Murphy then went on to compete at the  6th round of the KSMXC championship at East Trax motocross track this past weekend, where he ended up having a fantastic weekend winning all 3 of the 85cc small wheel races he participated in. He won Race 1 by 12 seconds, Race 2 by 19 seconds and Race 3 was his smallest victory by only 4 seconds giving him the overall on the day. In each of his races Tom Murphy also posted the fastest lap times of his class which were also very comparable to the older 85cc big wheel class where Tom would of easily run inside the top 7 against the older boys.

Tom now has a busy month of June racing as he takes part in 3 national championships with the British Youth Nationals, Pirelli British Masters and the Route 77 British Cup series all holding races in the month of June.
