GH Motorcycles G&B Finch Race Team Round 1 British Championship

Luke Parker and Luke Benstead took part in first round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Culham on Sunday, the continuous rain made for a long hard and wet day out for both riders. Qualifying was a lottery, trying to get a decent lap in with plenty bikes over heating and losing lots of coolant, forced lots of riders to nurse the bikes and save them for the race. Luke Benstead qualified 22nd with Luke Parker in 33rd.

Both races the track was very technical with all the rain and mud making finishing the first priority, Luke Benstead managed to have a great ride in race 1 and brought home his 2017 Husqvarna FC450 home in 14th place. Luke Parker also had a strong ride and finished 21st just outside the points. Race 2 both riders didnt get decent starts but fought their way through the pack by race end with Luke Benstead getting 20th at the line and Luke Parker ending up 25th.

Overall a good start for both riders in the 2017 Maxxis British Motocross Championship, both will be looking forward to improve on those results and hopefully have better weather and riding conditions for round 2 at Lyng.
