This race proven machine is getting all its updates from from its European based factory team that Jeremy Van Horebeek raced to finish 2nd in the MXGP world championship. More recently the American factory supported team with Weston Peick just secured his first ever AMA Supercross podium on the 2015 YZ450F in Santa Clara.

Yamaha didn’t drastically change either one of their four stroke motocross bikes in 2015. In fact, there aren’t that many changes at all. On paper when you see the list of changes to the 2015 Yamaha YZ450F you’re not  jumping out of your seat, but that doesnt mean that those little changes dont make a huge difference to how the bike rides and feels on the track. The list of changes includes: a lighter throttle return spring making it less work to open and close the throttle when u getting tired, FI ( Fuel Injection) and ignition mapping changes, a 48 tooth rear sprocket (49 last year), quarter turn Dzus quick-release fasteners on the airbox for quick and easy air filter changes, fork internal settings (springs, valving, oil level) wrapped in a new front fork outer tube that is less rigid making the front end flex a little bit more taking that harsh front end feel away.  The lower motor mount bracket shape has changed and is now made up of steel (from aluminum), black Excel rims, and finally a gold D.I.D. chain.
