Bodywork.
The clean and sleek bodywork is scaled down from what is found on the full-size machines and offers the same proven ergonomics. By replicating the design, youngsters will benefit from the larger contact points that allow them to grip the bike tighter with their legs for enhanced control. In addition, a new and flatter seat profile offers unrestricted movement.
Airbox.
The process to remove and reinstall the air filter is simplified for 2024 and allows for faster, cleaner, and easier filter changes. With a redesigned airbox, accessible by removing the quick release seat by hand, the introduction of a snap lock mounting design for the filter is failproof and prevents dirt from falling into the intake tract. Additionally, the Twin Air filter has a larger surface area for increased air flow into the engine. The new airbox concept is produced by using a new technology (mirror welding). The base material of the air box is polyamide and no longer rubber.
Handlebars & grips.
High quality aluminium handlebars with a black anodised finish ensures reduced vibration and maximum stability. The new, modern bar bend is slightly wider for enhanced comfort and leads to better body positioning while riding with thin diameter ODI grips allowing for a heightened level of control.
Fuel tank.
Sleek in design and updated to fit onto the new frame and inside the revised bodywork, the fuel tank is now slightly slimmer overall with the capacity remaining unchanged. Bodywork. Airbox. Handlebars & grips. Fuel tank. 02. Handling.
Adjustable ergonomics.
To accommodate youngsters of different sizes, the TC 50 now offers multiple adjustment options to suit a wider range of riders, based on their height and set-up preference. The handlebars can be mounted in four different positions, the rear shock can be positioned from standard high position into a lower setting, and the subframe and bodywork can be installed in two different places to suit each individual rider.
Frame.
An all-new frame, robot-welded together using the same proven chromium molybdenum steel as the previous generation, enhances the riding experience thanks to revised geometry and flex. Mirroring Husqvarna Motorcycles’ full size motocross machines, the shock is no longer mounted to the upper frame tube, which reduces the energy transferred through the chassis and leads to greater stability. Frame protectors with a textured surface enhance control in all conditions and protects the dark blue metallic powder coating from wear.
Subframe.
Manufactured using a combination of polyamide glass fibre and steel, this new hybrid construction was first used on the full-size motocross models for MY23. Now, with its reliability proven, it can be found on the TC 50. Besides being robust, lightweight and durable, the subframe plays a vital role in ensuring outstanding handling and is height adjustable to offer tailored ergonomics dependant on the height of the rider.
Forged triple clamps.
Aligning the forks perfectly, the forged triple clamps ensure smooth and uncompromised performance from the WP suspension. Refined for 2024 with a new mounting position for the front number plate, the triple clamps continue to offer calculated flex characteristics without sacrificing stability.
WP forks.
Featuring the latest in suspension technology, the TC 50 is equipped with 35 mm WP XACT forks. Besides being very lightweight, the forks offer exceptional damping and comfort, which allows for youngsters to ride with complete confidence. Offering 205 mm of wheel travel, the air spring in the left fork leg can be easily adjusted using the supplied air pump to create the perfect set up for any rider.
WP shock.
Connecting directly to the swingarm, the WP XACT shock is updated with revised settings to enhance the damping characteristics and improve the overall balance of the TC 50. With the ability to adjust the preload, high and low speed compression, and rebound settings, the WP XACT shock can be set up to suit any rider.
Swingarm.
The hollow die-cast aluminium swingarm is manufactured from a single piece of aluminium for optimal stiffness and a 190 g weight reduction over the previous generation TC 50. In order to optimise and match the flex characteristics of the new frame, a 12 mm rear axle is fitted. Additionally, the chain guard and chain slider are designed to prevent mud from building up around the swingarm.
Engine.
The new TC 50 engine features the latest in 2-stroke technology and is more compact and powerful for 2024. The crankshaft has been positioned closer to the centre of gravity, which creates an improved intake angle for better performance in addition to centralising mass for enhanced handling. Complete with a new cylinder and ignition, the lighter engine produces a broader spread of usable power to benefit every rider.
Cylinder head.
New cylinder head inserts are made specifically for the TC 50 and significantly improve heat conduction. With their unique design, it’s no longer possible to install an insert from another model such as the TC 65.
Carburetor.
New settings inside the proven Dell’Orto PHBG 19 BS carburettor maximise performance from the new engine. With considered revisions to the jetting, the TC 50 runs clean throughout the rev-range.
Exhaust system.
An all-new exhaust system, manufactured using the same process as the full-size motocross machines, boosts performance. By removing the welding seams from the inside, exhaust gas flow is unrestricted, which results in a considerable improvement to overall power. The silencer now features a black anodised finish and improved sealing around the end cap with a tighter rubber seal between the header pipe and silencer completing the changes for 2024.
Automatic clutch.
With a reinforced basket and high-quality plates, the new automatic clutch inside the TC 50 offers exceptional durability and consistent performance. The clutch pack is now assembled using Torx bolts to make inspection or replacement easier with a new gasket behind the clutch cover introduced to improve sealing.
Brakes. By combining hydraulically operated brake callipers and waved, state-of-the-art discs front and rear, braking performance is consistent and reliable. Durability has also been improved to extend maintenance schedules while a new, forged rear brake pedal, complete with the same tip as found on the full-size machines, enhances control.
Radiators.
For improved cooling, a new and larger capacity radiator replaces the two smaller radiators as found on the outgoing generation of the TC 50. Capable of holding more coolant and contributing to a simplified routing of the hoses, the radiator is adequately protected from any potential damage.
Wheels & tyres.
Lightweight aluminium hubs are laced to black anodised, aluminium rims using strong spokes to create a reliable set of wheels. Complete with MAXXIS MAXXCROSS-MX-ST tyres, young riders will enjoy the benefits of excellent traction and predictability across a wide range of surfaces.
